Same day video production allows event organizers to capture and share key moments quickly without sacrificing quality. With planning and coordination, it is possible to film, edit, and deliver content within hours. This service is ideal for marketing teams, keynote speakers, and businesses that need polished assets fast. Firebrand Media, led by J. Wardrup, provides expert same day video services that balance speed with professional precision.
Same day video production is one of the most challenging yet rewarding services available to event organizers. The ability to capture, edit, and deliver polished video within a single day provides powerful opportunities for businesses and individuals who need fast turnaround. From keynote speakers requesting highlight reels to marketing teams in search of immediate assets, the demand for rapid content is growing.
At Firebrand Media, led by J. Wardrup, urgent video production represents a significant portion of ongoing work. While these requests are often last-minute, proper planning and realistic expectations make successful delivery possible. If possible, a project begins with at least 48 hours of advance notice, allowing the production team to prepare crew schedules, gather equipment, and anticipate post-production needs.
The most important detail to establish is what type of assets are required after the event. Delivery can range from raw footage to edited highlight reels, and each option impacts the workflow differently. By identifying expectations early, a production company can accurately estimate costs, schedule staff, and confirm whether the same day timeline is achievable.
Several common scenarios lead to same day video filming requests. Keynote speakers sometimes discover that the main event videographer cannot share footage, leaving them in need of a portfolio-ready reel. Marketing departments may see higher-than-expected attendance numbers and decide to capture the energy of the event while it is happening. In other cases, businesses launch products, host activations, or manage pop-up events where immediate video delivery helps amplify visibility and engagement.
An example comes from a recent collaboration with a Pilates equipment manufacturer hosting a pop-up experience. Despite short notice, the production team was able to both capture and edit footage for same day delivery. While videographers filmed on site, the lead editor worked behind the scenes cutting and uploading content to ensure deadlines were met. This type of coordination demonstrates how strategic staffing and preparation make rapid turnaround possible.
Just like expedited shipping services, same day video filming involves additional costs. The premium reflects the extra effort required, such as editors working beyond typical hours or multiple crew members dividing responsibilities simultaneously. Clients benefit from content delivered quickly, but it also requires flexibility and collaboration to make the process efficient.
When organizations choose a videographer, they gain access to content that fuels immediate engagement. Posting videos while the event is still happening allows companies to capitalize on momentum, encourage social sharing, and keep audiences engaged. Quick turnaround also benefits speakers and presenters, giving them content to update portfolios and connect with future clients.
Ultimately, video services succeed when communication and planning are prioritized. Even if a budget is not finalized, reaching out to a production company early allows them to pencil in availability and prepare resources. This proactive approach ensures that when the event date arrives, both the crew and the editing team are ready to deliver.
For organizations hosting corporate gatherings, product launches, or live experiences, same day video production offers a unique advantage. It bridges the gap between event execution and digital marketing by delivering usable assets in near real time. While challenging, the results are powerful: immediate content that helps brands connect with audiences faster and more effectively.

Hey guys, this is Jay over at Firebrand Media and today we’re talking about same day event video production and editing services. What can you expect out of it? How is it executed and how can a videographer and/or production company like us service you through it?
So, same day event video production. It is one of our headaches, but let me tell you, it’s half of our jobs. More often than not, a company hosting an event will try to get their marketing squared up closer to the event and those goals trickle down all the way to, let’s say, the bottom. And the bottom line is usually your production services. Anywhere between AV, videography, and photography support—us guys usually get the last call. When they have their budget aligned and set, they usually call on all of us for price checking and trying to figure out who’s going to be the best option for that production.
In theory, same day event production is possible. We like at least 48 hours in advance to prep, plan, and get our team members scheduled in our team calendar. But more importantly, we want to know what those post-production assets look like. Are those same-day turnaround? Are those a 24-hour turnaround? We need to know that in order to plan properly. In a lot of ways, our post-production pipeline is already stacked from events happening the month prior, even in the same month where we have larger portfolios. We want to make sure that we can accommodate that request.
So knowing what your post-production assets look like—what are you trying to get out of the event if it’s photo related, if it’s video related—we need those details right off the bat. That way we can accurately give you a quote and also tell you if we can honor that same day delivery.
Situations that fall into same day requests include keynote speakers who find out that the production company hired by the event won’t parcel out reels or raw content to them for their portfolio. It could be someone in the marketing side of the business saying, “Hey, can we allocate some budget for video production so that we can create assets?” It may even be responsive to the amount of people showing up to the event. For example, if a company sees attendance numbers skyrocket, they may decide last minute to hire a videographer and/or production company to capture that success.
All in all, it’s possible. But best practice is reaching out to production companies even if you don’t have a budget yet—just to find out what it would cost. That way the production company can pencil it into their calendar. Meaning it’s not locked in, but we’re anticipating and might follow up later to confirm. There’s no harm and no foul in doing that.
For instance, one of our clients, The Reformer, is a Pilates equipment manufacturer hosting a pop-up experience this week. The conversation came on short notice, and they needed same day edits and same day raw. That’s not uncommon, but we were able to fulfill it knowing exactly what they needed. Right now, we have a team in the field shooting day two of that pop-up, and Simon—our chief editor—is already cutting, uploading, and making sure post-delivery stays on the same day timeline.
From a production company standpoint, we’re going to prorate that. Same day services come at an additional cost, just like same day shipping with Amazon. The perk is you get your content lightning fast. The trade-off is our team has to work harder and more strategically to get you those things on time. If an event is happening in the evening, someone’s got to receive that footage and someone’s already processing it—oftentimes past our usual office hours.
If you have any questions about same day event video production and editing services, and want to know more about how we can strategically tackle that with you, give us a call here at Firebrand Media. We’d love to serve you.
